Tammy Lauren conquered evil in the cult horror flick Wishmaster, but landing on Y&R as detective Maggie last Halloween was downright terrifying. "In the beginning, it was scary just to do a show a day," she recalls. "In prime time, you'll spend at least two hours on a scene. In daytime, we spend 15 minutes. But they let me investigate people, so I'd have my little pad and I'd write my questions in there. Everyone was saying, 'Oh, Tammy, you're doing so well!' " laughs Lauren. "Well, the prop guy switched out my pad one day, so I didn't have my dialogue. That was the first day I felt what it's really like. It was a hard one." A year later, she has it down, but there were two more hurdles to come. "I got naked and I got shot in the span of three months," shudders the actress. "I've known Lynn (Latham, executive producer) for a long time, so I wrote her after the love scene: 'Did I do it right? Did it look okay?' I was nervous. Luckily, Doug (Davidson, Paul) is a pro. He was totally comfortable. It's like eating to him!"
