Y&R's Daniel Goddard (Cane) admits that he shares a peculiar disorder of the male species: He absolutely loves gizmos. "Oh, I'm a gadget guy," he laughs. "I don't go for gadgets that are fads, like the stuff found in Sharper Image. I'm pretty good at staying away from kitschy kind of novelty things. But I love things at Best Buy. If they have a new hard drive or a new computer or a new TV, I'm there!" In particular, the actor likes to buy a computer and then make it run faster--something his wife, Rachel, doesn't necessarily appreciate. "She says I have a skill where I can get a brand new computer and within two weeks, I will have destroyed it," he chuckles. "As soon as I get something, I try to make it faster. I strip off all the manufacturer software, because they have pop-ups every five minutes telling you that you need an upgrade. It gets to the point where you can't turn on your computer without it telling you what to do!"
