The Screen Actors Guild's MembershipFirst faction has issued a statement supporting embattled national executive director Doug Allen and calling for a contract vote. The faction, which includes SAG President Alan Rosenberg and most of the Hollywood board of the union, had previously campaigned against the contract offer. Meanwhile, SAG denied a report Thursday that its leaders had dropped a plan to issue a strike authorization vote.
