When she was beginning her career as an actress, Nia Peeples (Karen) says she would often watch the dailies (unedited footage) of the movies and T.V. shows on which she worked. "I never watched the finished product when it was out--but I always watched the dailies to see what I could do better," the showbiz vet explains. However, since joining Y&R, she says that she's stopped watching herself on-screen altogether. "It's such a different medium for me. I'm really trying to bring into it what I can without falling into what's typical." And that means, says Peeples, to be as realistic as she can be. "You're under the gun when you're shooting 100 pages a day, and I want to be as on my game and in the moment as I can be. I don't want to consider what I may look like on screen. I just want my character to be natural."
