Billy Miller (Billy) admits that he always secretly wanted to be an actor, but hesitated about pursuing the Hollywood dream. "I ended up going to film school, where I learned to write and produce. I took acting lessons on the side, because I was taking this directing course and thought it would be a good idea to know how to talk to actors," he explains. Miller impressed his acting instructors enough that they urged him to chase the dream. However, the Texas native says the one person who wasn't impressed was his father. "You could see my dad's face," he recalls with a laugh. "He's this bigger-than-life guy in Texas, never been to college, and he's like, 'You're supposed to go to business school or something. Get a real degree! You end up going to this film school, okay, whatever... but an actor?! Are you out of your da** mind?' " Given Miller's success, however, his dad has since changed his own mind. "Now he carries around my headshot and articles from Soaps In Depth!" chuckles the hunk. "He's proud now!"
