Though Billy has a serious case of cold feet before his wedding to Chloe, they exchange vows and are pronounced man and wife. However, he's shocked when a certain guest arrives at the nuptials: his one-time love, Mac.
"It's really messed up and couldn't be happening at a worse time," sighs Billy Miller (Billy). "He isn't sure how he's supposed to react to this."
Things become even more complicated when Katherine announces to the crowd that Brock is her son, but Jill isn't her daughter, which was proven with the latest DNA test. "Of course, this now means that Mac and Billy aren't related," says Miller, who points out that Mac and Billy's marriage was annulled when they thought they were first cousins. Everyone's shocked. Mac was the love of his life and they were devastated that they couldn't be together... and now to get this news is a lot to take in."
Billy's not the only one reeling. After Colleen coyly suggests that Chloe get to know Mac, Esther fills Chloe in on Billy and Mac's past. "Chloe's really worried about her return, and with good reason," says Miller. "I think that the whole thing that happened with Mac is part of why he's been the way he's been with women. When you lose someone you love, you react, and that's how he was trying to deal with the pain--by being this playboy for all of these years. He's been searching for someone to fill that void."
Once they get home, Billy attempts to give Chloe a proper wedding night. "He is a married man and he's trying to do the right thing," explains Miller. "He wants to step up and create this family with Chloe and their daughter."
However, he can't resist paying Mac a visit. Chloe catches them talking, though, and is not pleased. "It's an awkward situation all around. Billy's very confused," says the actor.
Later, Billy gives Brock his phone number and asks him to pass it along to Mac--while Mac decides to stick around Genoa City. "The thing is, he and Mac never really had a chance to get closure on their relationship," states Miller. "But at the same time, so much has happened in their lives and they've both changed a lot, and of course, he now has Chloe. It'll be interesting to see where all of this goes."
