As Mac informs Kay and Brock that she intends to stay in Genoa City, Billy and Chloe prepare to head to family court to deal with Delia's custody hearing. However, an insecure Chloe wonders if her new husband is still in love with Mac.
"I don't blame Chloe for being worried," notes portayer Billy Miller. "I mean, how would anyone feel if they got married and then that person's ex--who everyone keeps saying was the love of his life--suddenly shows up?"
Billy assures Chloe that Mac has left town; then when Chloe has fears about losing Delia, he promises his wife that he'll be there for their family. "He realizes how important it is for Delia's sake that he and Chloe are a team," says Miller. "He wants to make sure that their child isn't taken from them."
However, Chloe's shocked when Esther informs her that Mac is still in town. Meantime, Billy is also surprised when he runs into Mac at the bookstore. "Of course, Billy still cares for her," says the actor. "When you love someone like he did with Mac, those feelings don't just disappear."
Billy asks Mac why she decided to stick around--and impulsively kisses her. Will Mac return his affections?
