Embarrassing Typo, 'Seinfeld' Star Gets Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, but Name is Misspelled
Julia Louis-Dreyfus was surprised on Tuesday, May 4, during the ceremony unveiling her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to see her name misspelled on the star.
Instead of Julia Louis-Dreyfus it read Julia Luis Dreyfus.
Quipped Louis-Dreyfus after the ceremony, "The misspelling was so perfectly apt, a great metaphor for show business. Right when you think you've made it, you get knocked down. It's an ideal metaphor for how this business works."
The last time it was discovered that a star's name was misspelled during an unveiling ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was in 1993, when thingy Van d**e's name was misspelled.
Once a new star is made with the correct spelling of Louis-Dreyfus' name, the misspelled star will be given to the "Seinfeld' and ""The New Adventures of Old Christine" actress as a keepsake.
