Sheen's CBS Sitcom Tops Monday Ratings
Charlie Sheen’s latest foray into the tabloid headlines apparently hasn’t hurt the ratings for his hit CBS sitcom, as “Two and a Half Men” was the top-rated show of the night Monday in Nielsen’s overnight ratings.
At 8 p.m. ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," with a 3.8 rating in the 18-49 demo, beat CBS's combination of "How I Met Your Mother" (3.7 rating) and "Rules of Engagement" (3.4). Fox's coverage of Game 5 of the World Series, in which the San Francisco Giants won the championship over the Texas Rangers, started the night with a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demo, while NBC's "Chuck" had a 2.0 and CW's "90210" a 1.0, both in the same 18-49 demo.
"Two and a Half Men" was No. 1 with a 4.7 rating in the 18-49 demo at 9 p.m., and at 9:30, CBS’s "Mike & Molly" scored a 3.6 in the same demo. ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" had a 4.1 in the 18-49 demo for the hour, with Fox's World Series broadcast earning a 3.4 in the same demo. NBC's special "The Women of SNL" had a 2.0 and CW's "Gossip Girl" a 1.0, both in the 18-49 demo.
At 10 p.m. CBS's "Hawaii Five-0" led with a 3.0 rating, while ABC's "Castle" had a 2.8 and NBC's second hour of "The Women of SNL" drew a 2.1 rating, all in the 18-49 demographic.
