Just when you got comfortable with the primetime schedule, NBC has decided to completely wreck havoc on your overworked DVR's this winter. In the next couple of weeks, the NBC dramas will go into their annual hiatus for the holidays and will return early next year -- and they'll be bringing along some new friends...
The much anticipated superhero series The Cape arrives on January 9 with a two-hour premiere. The series moves into its new home on Mondays at 9 the following night with an encore of the special premiere. The new Kathy Bates legal drama Harry's Law will premiere January 17 right after The Cape on Mondays.
NBC has yet to learn from their past mistakes and will place The Event on a 3-month hiatus (just enough time for the current fan base to disappear and place the show in danger of being canceled). The Event will return on February 28. Meanwhile, Chase will move to Wednesdays at 9 beginning January 12.
Other Scheduling Changes
Parenthood moves to Mondays at 10 beginning March 7. Law & Order: LA moves to Tuesdays at 10 on February 8. Law & Order: SVU moves to the Wednesday, 10pm time slot beginning January 5.
