After Victor confronts Jack about owning Jabot and insists that Jack sell NVP back to him Jack decides that the way to get out of this and neutralize Victor's hold over him is to sell Jabot back to Katherine. She agrees to buy Jabot back from him but for half the price. Jack then gloats to Nikki and Victor that they have nothing over him and that there is no reason for him to sell NVP back to them.
