Is Amber Leaving?
Will the honeymoon be over for Cane and his new bride before it ever really starts?
Is Adrienne Frantz (Amber) on her way out of Genoa City? The star wrote on her Web site www.AdrienneFrantz.com last November that she had signed a six-month deal with Y&R and was pushing the worldwide release of her CD, Anomaly, until Tuesday, April 3. So while Frantz was still reporting for work as Amber at press time, it's very likely that she'll conclude her Y&R run sometime in early April so she can focus on promoting her album.
Also, Frantz recently completed the title role in the independent film Donna On Demand, written and directed by Corbin Bernsen (ex-Todd, Y&R). Jeanne Cooper (Katherine), who also appears in the film and just happens to be Bernsen's real-life mom, says that she'll miss Frantz when she does make her exit. "Adrienne is probably the most electric young person to hit any of the stages in the last 15 years," raves Cooper. "She's exciting to watch. She's focused and is 'of the moment.' She's just bloody brilliant!"
A rep for Y&R says that the show doesn't comment on actors' contracts. Should Frantz exit the set in April, Amber would likely air well into May.
