Braeden's New Role!
The next few weeks will find Eric Braeden (Victor) pulling double duty, juggling his work at Y&R along with a starring role in a feature film!
A casting notice was recently posted for a feature film titled The Man Who Came Back, in which Braeden will not only be starring but also executive producing.
A period piece set in 1876, the film is based on the Thibodaux Massacre, the second most bloody labor dispute in U.S. history, where freed slaves working on Louisiana sugar plantations went on strike. The venture will reunite Braeden with George Kennedy, who played Victor's estranged dad, Albert, two years ago. When Braeden's character, Reese, fights on behalf of one of Judge Duke's (Kennedy) workers, he finds himself convicted of the field hand's murder and sent to prison--but not before watching his own family be brutally murdered by Duke's men. Should fans worry that their favorite ruthless mogul may be on his way out of Genoa City? Not necessarily. Y&R says its policy is to work with actors when they juggle outside projects. Filming is set to begin in mid-April.
