Dirty Laundry
Like his character, Cane, Daniel Goddard took on a number of different jobs prior to becoming an actor. "I did everything," he shares. "I was a bartender, worked in construction, was a waiter, a cloak-room attendant... I've done it all." His worst job? "Packing supermarket shelves," he sighs. I packed laundry detergents at 4 a.m. There's nothing worse than the smell of detergent for four hours. It's just a horrible thing that you're unpacking, unpacking... the powder in the box gets on your hand, the smell gets everywhere. Another hard job I had was digging holes. The truck would dump tons of soil and you'd keep filling up wheelbarrows. It was tough, but a great workout! Looking back, I don't regret doing the work. It helps keep things in perspective."
