July 10, 2007 issue of CBS Soaps In Depth Jumping In Ask any primetime actor who jumps into a soap what the most difficult thing is, and the answer is bound to be the hectic pace. Certainly Eric Steinberg, who plays Ji Min, would have to ditto that--but he admits he enjoys the challenge. "I think [British actress] Judi Dench once said that she wouldn't take on anything if she's not afraid of it. And I thought, 'That's a great concept for an artist!' " he shares. Still, the theatrically trained actor credits co-stars Peter Bergman (Jack) and Jeanne Cooper (Katherine) for helping him adjust on his first day on Y&R. "If I hadn't done camera work before, coming to this show with their three cameras, I would have been in trouble, because it's a strange medium and the actors all have a different style," he confesses. "But I took their cue very quickly. That's the great thing about working with great, experienced actors. It's like being a ballplayer. I had no idea what plays they're going to run... but we all know how to play ball already, so whatever play you call, you can then play with each other."
