Vincent Irizarry (David) enjoys his stint on Y&R, but he admits that it's difficult to be separated from his family in New Jersey. The actor acknowledges that his wife, Avalon, has probably the more difficult end of the deal, though. "There was one week where my son got sick two days before I left [to fly back to L.A.] and then right after I left, my wife got sick. And then the next day the oil company screwed up and didn't refill the oil tank for our house," he recalls with a groan. "There was no heat and it was 20 degrees that week! And then she was out doing errands and the battery died in our minivan!" Irizarry says that it's times like those that can be a bit nail-biting, fearing his better half might be less than thrilled with their living arrangements. "I just don't want her blaming me for the bad times," he smiles ruefully, "and thinking it's all my fault, because I wasn't around!"
