Y&R fans were heartbroken when talented Ashley Jones (ex-Megan) decided not to renew her contract in 2000. "I really wanted to explore other things," the actress recalls. Toward the end, Megan embarked on an emotional journey due to the death of her love, Tony, and her sister, Tricia, going crazy. "Meg just felt like she couldn't take it anymore in Genoa City, and she really needed to start up her own life independent of her sister, so she went to college in Boston," Jones says. "I think if I'd stayed on longer, they would have ended that up anyway, because the Dennisons weren't a core family." Since leaving the show, Jones returned for Meg's graduation in 2001, appeared in the films Old School and Extreme Dating and made guest appearances on THE DISTRICT, WITHOUT A TRACE, CROSSING JORDAN, and FOR THE PEOPLE. She currently appears on B&B as Brooke and Eric's woebegone daughter, Bridget.
