Last seen asking Neil for a job at Newman Enterprises in October 2004, Diane simply vanished from the canvas. But should she return now, the manipulative beauty could create a whole lot of trouble for the men she left behind! Might Diane's portrayer, Susan Walters, be up for a return? Although she recently left Los Angeles to take a break from acting, a juicy storyline could entice her to return. "You know, I think I'd be open to anything," she confides to In Depth.
However, looking at the current state of daytime, Walters isn't optimistic. "There are so many really good actresses my age that have been on their soaps for awhile that the idea that they would bring me back--when they're trying to find material for the other ones--is probably very slim," she observes. "But it is nice that Diane wasn't killed off."
A representative from Y&R reminds that it is their policy to not comment on casting rumors.
