Jill discovers that Kay was right to have misgivings about Ji Min when he makes a devastating confession.
After Kay fires both of them, Jill looks forward to starting over with her fiancé. "She's so excited," says Jess Walton (Jill). "Poor Jill, not to know that she'll never be happy. She wants to start her own company and blow [Kay] out of the water."
Ji Min suggests that Jill's anger toward Kay is clouding her business sense. "She tells him to trust her because she has the experience and the reputation, plus he has the experience," says Walton.
Kay, meanwhile, is so fed upwithh her daughter's relationship that she meets up with Michael to discuss officially disinheriting Jill, which she has been threatening to do for weeks. "Jill doesn't care," sighs Walton. "She's really giving up everything for him."
A visit to Jack makes Jill think twice about her sacrifice. "There's a tiny, nagging doubt in the back of her mind," notes the actress. "Jack tells her, 'How could this whole thing at Jabot go down and Ji Min not have a clue? If he's such a great businessman, then why didn't he know?' Then she realizes, 'Oh, my God, he's got a point there.' "
Later, Jill demands the truth from Ji Min--and he confirms her worst fears about the Jabot conspiracy. "She doesn't really care so much that he was dishonest in business practices, but that he's been lying to her all this time," Walton explains. "Jill is really, truly in love with Ji Min, and now it's changed."
With Ji Min's portrayer, Eric Steinberg, leaving Genoa City, we have a feeling that Jill won't be so forgiving
