Y&R's Ji Min puts most of Genoa City in a tizzy this week, so when he's found dead, murder is a distinct possibility, with no shortage of suspects.
"This guy is about to spill everything about how he bought Jabot as a front for Jack," says Peter Bergman (Jack). "If that scandal comes out, Jack's career is in severe trouble, Katherine goes down, and Jabot is mired in all of this, too."
Not to mention the Clear Springs project. "It would taint Jack's name, thereby tainting Clear Springs," weighs in Vincent Irizarry (David). "Every investor would be affected dramatically."
So, several Genoa City residents scramble to try and stop Ji Min from giving a tell-all television interview. Kay even offers to put Jill back in her will, but Jill turns her down. Cane sets up his own meeting with Ji Min, while David and Nikki ask Jack to soften the blow by confessing.
But Jack has his own plan. Having bought a piece of property close to Ji Min's heart, "Jack calls him and says, 'You'd be smart to hear me out before you decide confession is the better part of valor,' " previews Bergman. "He says, 'Stay put. I'm on my way,' and heads to Ji Min's room."
Jack's not the only one. "Ji Min found the money that Amber, Kevin and Daniel found," reminds Irizarry. Amber, who needs that money to clear her name, heads out to confront Ji Min, but is sidetracked when she spies Jill letting Cane into Ji Min's room. When she finally gets there, Jill returns and finds Amber standing over Ji Min's body.
"Ji Min is suddenly dead!" previews Bergman. "He wasn't without his detractors, and sane minds are brought to powerful ends when the wrong story comes their way."
In this story, it's Ji Min who comes to an end. And the mystery is... how?
