Given all the secrets Y&R's Daniel has kept from Lily, it's not exactly surprising that their marriage is now falling apart at the seams. But can Daniel somehow find his way back into Lily's good graces, or is that loving feeling gone for good?
"I think Daniel's in real trouble with Lily," laments Michael Graziadei, his portrayer, adding that it's been a challenge for him to play a formerly happy husband who is addicted to web pornography. "[Fans] tell me [Daniel's] disgusting. They say, 'I used to like you, but now I can't stand you!' "
Rather than play Daniel's addiction to sexually explicit content on the Internet as "creepy," Graziadei says he's tried to make his character's predilection "as natural as possible." The actor says Daniel feels that "there's no problem with this. Why should there be anything wrong with it? [But] now, it's manifested itself into something much bigger."
That's an understatement! Now that Daniel's past has caused Lily to rethink their future as a couple, what's next for the poor guy? If Daniel can't mend his marriage before the divorce papers are signed, Graziadei suspects his alter ego just might turn to Colleen for a little TLC! "That's probably [who] Daniel should go to--Colleen," the actor muses. "Why not? She's Lily's best friend. That'd be more drama." But could Colleen overlook the fact that he's treated Lily so poorly? Graziadei believes that Colleen has seen his better side. "He's helped her out with things," he points out. "So anything's possible. You never know!"
