September 18, 2007 Soaps In Depth The Art Of Shaving. Or Not Joshua Morrow (Nick, Y&R) comes clean about his ever-changing facial hair Weekly: Why does your look change so often? Morrow: It's all me. I get bored. I despise shaving, so if I can avoid it, I do. Sometimes it doesn't jibe with the story that's going on. I was just told by my boss that I can do whatever I want, so I will probably be scruffy. It's not because I think I look better or worse. It's a matter of time and energy wasted on grooming. Weekly: But you also change it up, so clearly you put some thought into it. Morrow: That's because I get bored. I don't put any more thought into it than, 'I'm going to shave today, but I'll leave that,' or 'I don't think so today.' It's not a drawn-out process. I don't want to look the same all the time. I want to shave my head but I did the mohawk once, and they didn't like it so I didn't get to air it. At the end of the day, I play Nick Newman. He's not going to have a mohawk or tattoos all over his body. I've accepted that and it's fine. Weekly: It makes choosing pictures of you so hard for us! Morrow: I know it's a pain for the press and I apologize for that. I just saw a cover come out and I had a goatee and I thought, "I haven't had that in a long time!" I gotta keep you guys on your toes a little bit. I don't want you getting all comfortable with me (laughs).
