Amelia Heinle (Victoria, Y&R) has always been friendly and open about her off-screen life, the new bride (she wed co-star Thad Luckinbill, J.T., last March) and mom-to-be was understandably quiet about her private life during the early months of the pregnancy. However, she was more than willing to chat when it came to the lavish baby shower that her TV mom Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) threw for her. No, it wasn't a surprise, but, "it was above and beyond my expectations," Heinle admits. "Frankly, I was a little overwhelmed because everything was so beautiful! Mel is just such a wonderful woman and has really treated me like family off-screen, which has been so nice. I really appreciated so many people from the cast and crew being there for me that day and making it memorable. It was definitely one of the best days I've had."
As for all the gifts she received, she raves, "I'm thrilled. I don't think I'm going to need to go shopping for anything. This baby is going to want for nothing [laughs]."
