After leaving Y&R, Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, 1988-95) did a guest stint on PASSIONS (as jazz singer Crystal, 2000). For the past couple of years, however, she's concentrated on caring for her growing clan, which includes daughters Sophia, 12 (with ex-husband Lorenzo Doumani), Taylor, 2-1/2, and Brooke, 1. "I married a fantastic man, Terry Moore, about four and a half years ago," she shares. "I'm very happy, very much in love and very thankful that I found someone so wonderful."
Now that she's had time off, Epperson is working on several career paths. "I've been doing hosting for infomercials," she reports. "I actually got a hosting agent and I'm loving that. I hope to eventually have my own talk show. I'm also getting back into my music and am working on my second Christian album. And now, I'm going back out on auditions. I wanted to give myself a year after the last baby. It gave me time to be with her, plus, I gain a lot of weight when I have kids [laughs]."
She still keeps in touch with some of her Y&R co-stars. "Victoria Rowell [ex-Drucilla] is a dear friend and I call Eric Braeden [Victor]," she says. "I also sometimes speak with Hunter Tylo [Taylor, B&B] and am devastated to hear about her son [Mickey, who recently drowned]. I'm praying for her and [Tylo's ex-husband] Michael [Tylo, ex-Blade, Y&R; ex-Quint, GL et al]. I can't even imagine what they're going through."
As for daytime, "I have no plans to pursue it," she explains, "but I like keeping my options open. If the right part came along, I'd be open to returning."
