Most actors rely on their past roles to catapult them to the next job, but Daniel Goddard (Cane) admits that when he came to America to pursue acting, he often failed to mention that he'd had a part on the Australian soap HOME & AWAY. "I had to find representation, but I didn't let anybody know about the work I did in Australia,"' he chuckles. "I just went to an acting class, met someone there who had a manager, met him, got an agent and started auditioning." In fact, the hunk says that during his screen test for BEASTMASTER, people were concerned about his lack of experience. "That's when I told my manager that I had been on an Australian soap. He was like, 'Why didn't you tell me that?! It would help!' " Goddard grins, adding, "I don't know why I didn't say anything. I'm a weird guy. I like challenges. I consider walking on level ground to be too easy!"
