January 21, 2008 CBS Soaps In Depth L.A. Livin' When Aussie Tammin Sursok (Colleen) moved to Los Angeles, she admits that she had to make a few cultural adjustments. The first one, she says, was the sheer size of the City Of Angels. "Sydney is more like a city. There is a center to it. But in L.A. there is no center," she shares. "It's like every suburb has its own center, which was really new to me. You don't really know where to go to meet people. In spite of that, the beauty says that Angelinos do go out--a lot. "Nobody cooks at home. Everybody eats out for everything. That's something I had to get used to, because in Australia you may go out on the weekends or for special occasions, but not every night." Sursok also admits that despite the West Coast's reputation for being laid-back, she believes Down Under is even more easygoing. Yet she loves America's go-for-broke ambition. "No dream is too small here," she insists. "You can dream anything; be anything. You can be homeless one day and a bank president the next. I love that idea!"
